Refrigerant evacuation and recharging
The HVAC and battery coolant circuits are sealed to prevent the
discharge of refrigerant. The refrigerant must be recovered before any
removal of system components using the recommended equipmen
Debris or moisture in the A/C system
Internally or externally damaged components can cause debris and
moisture to enter the A/C system. Perform the following procedures if
debris or excessive moisture ingress is suspected.

Warning: If the vehicle
has air suspension, activate "Jack" mode on the touchscreen before
raising and supporting the vehicle.
Removal
Remove the rear wheel arch liner
(refer to procedure).
Clean the areas that surround the connections
at each end of the
Exterior Release Switch - Liftgate (Remove and Replace)
Removal
Open the liftgate to a suitable working height.
Remove the applique from the liftgate (refer to procedure).
Caution: Take care not to damage component(s).
Caution: Protect paintwork from possible damage during
this procedure.
