Tesla Model S: Bash Plate - Front - Extrusion (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle (refer to procedure).
  2. Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that secure the bash plate extrusion to the front subframe (10 Nm).

  3. Remove the bash plate extrusion.
Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

Note: Use new bolts to install the bash plate extrusion. Do not reuse any bolts.

    Removal The wind deflector arm is part of an assembly that includes the wind deflector arm, wind deflector spring, and pivot block. Fully open the panoramic roof. Release the screw that secures the wind deflector arm to the wind deflector.

     Face Level Vent - Driver's - Inner (Remove and Replace)

    Removal Remove driver side lower dash trim (refer to procedure). Remove the lower binnacle cover. Remove the 2 screws beneath the lower binnacle cover that secure the IP top pad to the IP carrier.
