Tesla Model S: Air Line - Air Suspension - Valve Block Exhaust (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle (refer to procedure).
  2. Remove the underhood storage unit (refer to procedure).
  3. Release the fitting from the valve block (torque 3.5 Nm).

    Caution: Plug the line connection to prevent ingress of moisture or dirt.

  4. Release the air line clip.
Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

  • Install a new fitting into the valve block before installing the air line.

    Note: Ensure that the collet is 4.3 mm from the end of the air line to prevent air pressure restriction.

    Removal Remove the front fascia assembly (refer to procedure). Remove the bolts (x4) that secure the duct to the condenser housing (torque 16 Nm on vehicles equipped with a magnesium Carrier, torque 4 Nm on vehicles equipped with a composite Carrier).
