 Controlling the Passenger Front Airbag

Model S has an occupancy sensor in the front passenger seat that controls the status of the front airbag. NOTE: The occupancy classification system (OCS) meets the regulatory requirement of FMVSS 20

Removal Remove center console assembly (refer to procedure) Disconnect wiring harness connector. Carefully cut acoustic padding covering ESC sensor. Peel back acoustic padding to expose ESC module.

 Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift

Warning: "Jack mode" must be activated on vehicles with air suspension before lifting the vehicle. Failure to do this might lead to suspension damage and could cause serious personal injury. Note: Vehicles with air suspension might need the suspension to be set to "High" or "Very High"
