Tesla Model S: Antenna - GSM - LH (Remove and Replace)
Note: The GSM antenna is a component within the door
mirror assembly. If the GSM antenna develops a fault, the whole
mirror assembly must be replaced.
Removal
- Remove the door mirror assembly (refer to procedure).
- Remove the door mirror assembly (refer to procedure).
- Remove the door mirror assembly (refer to procedure).
- Remove the door mirror assembly (refer to procedure).
Remove the door mirror assembly (refer to procedure).
Installation
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

this procedure, prepare a covered surface or workbench to
support the moving glass after it is removed from the vehicle.

Warning: If the vehicle has air suspension, activate "Jack"
mode on the touchscreen before raising and supporting the vehicle.
Removal
Remove the RH driveshaft assembly (refer to procedure).
Release the bolts (x2) that secure the jackshaft to the drive
unit (torque 30 Nm).
Leave Model S plugged in when not in use. This uses the
charging system, rather than the Battery itself, to keep
the Battery warm (see High Voltage Battery Information).
Scheduled Departure
When parked, plug in Model S and use the Schedule
settings, available on both the charging and climate
con
