Tesla Model S: Charging Instructions

The charge port is located on the left side of Model S,
behind a door that is part of the rear tail light assembly.
Park Model S to ensure that the charge cable easily
reaches the charge port.

Note: Loosen suspension fasteners by hand, then
use a cordless electric drill with a 3/8 in drive adapter and an
3/8 in drive air ratchet wrench.

Remove the IP carrier (refer to procedure).
Remove the center console (refer to procedure).
Remove the nuts (x2) that secure the driver knee airbag. Retain
the washers (x2). Disconnect the harness connector and remove the
airbag from the vehicle (torque 10.5 Nm).
