Opening the Charge Port
The charge port is located on the left side of Model S,
behind a door that is part of the rear tail light assembly.
Park Model S to ensure that the charge cable easily
reaches the charge port.

limit and the charging current (see Charge Settings).

Charging Status
Charging status displays on the instrument panel when the charge port door is
open.
Time remaining: The estimated time remaining to charge to your set
limit.

Module - Door Controller (Remove and Replace)
Removal
Remove the door trim cover (refer to procedure)
Disconnect the door module harness connectors (x3).
Remove the screws (x3) that secure the control module to the
door panel (torque 2 Nm).
Remove the door controller module.
Controls - Overview
Touch Controls on the bottom
corner of
the touchscreen to control features and
customize Model S to suit your
preferences. The Controls screen appears
over the map. Touch an option on the
Controls screen to display the various
settings and options associated with the
