Warning: If the 12V power supply is disconnected, do not attempt to open any doors with door glass in closed position. Failure to follow this instruction could result in door glass shatter.
Note: Before disconnecting the 12V power supply, ensure that the driver's door window is fully open. Failure to follow this instruction could result in vehicle lockout.
Disconnect
- Open the front trunk.
- Turn off the climate control system.
- Fully open the driver's window.
- Close all doors.
- Remove the underhood storage unit (refer to procedure).
Note: Before disconnecting the 12V power supply, ensure that the driver's door window is fully open. Failure to follow this instruction could result in vehicle lockout.
- Disconnect the 12V battery ground connection (torque 5 Nm).
- Disconnect the first responder loop (X536). Do not cut the loop.
- Wait at least 2 minutes for all electrical circuits to fully discharge. Warning: Before working on any high voltage components, perform the Electrical Isolation Procedure (refer to procedure).
Note: Connect is reverse of disconnect.

Removal
Remove the underhood storage unit for access (refer to
procedure).
Mark the lower intermediate shaft position relative to the upper
intermediate shaft and pinion.
Remove the bolt that secures the lower intermediate shaft to the
steering rack (torque 49 Nm).

Mobile Connector control box temperature high
Maximum charge rate reduced
Charge current has been temporarily reduced because the Mobile Connector has
detected increased temperature
inside its control box housing.
Make sure the Mobile Connector is not covered by anything, and that there is no
