Tesla Model S: Footrest - Driver's (Remove and Replace)
Removal
- Position driver's seat fully rearward for access.
- Using a suitable trim tool release clips (x3) securing footrest
to mounting.
- Remove footrest.
Installation
- Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
- Return driver's seat to suitable position.

Remove mat from footwell.
Release clips (x8) and adhesive pad (x1) securing closeout
extension to console.

Position center console on suitable clean bench to prevent
damage.
Caution: Take care not to damage component(s
Removal
Carefully release clips (x8) securing rear end console closing
trim to chassis.
Caution: Take care not to damage component(s).
Caution: Replace any broke

Warning: If the 12V power supply is disconnected, do
not attempt to open any doors with door glass in closed position.
Failure to follow this instruction could result in door glass
shatter.
Note: Before disconnecting the 12V power supply,
ensure that the driver's door window
Model S has a split rear seat that can fold forward.
Before folding, remove items from the seats and the rear
footwell. To allow the rear seats to fold completely flat,
you may need to move the front seats forward. To fold a
rear seat, push the corresponding button on the back of
the seat.
