Replacing Cabin Air Filters
Model S has an air filter that prevents pollen, industrial
fallout, road dust, and other particles from entering the
cabin through the vents. Tesla recommends replacing
these filters every 2 years

Removal
Position the vehicle for access to the tailgate.
Open the tailgate to working height.
Carefully release the clips (x4) that secure the upper trim to
the tailgate.
Caution: Replace any broken clips.
Actuator - Cinching (Remove and Replace)
Removal
Open liftgate and secure at working height.
Remove liftgate trim (refer to procedure)
Remove screws x3 securing cinch motor to liftgate.
Release harness clip, rotate the cinch clockwise to access
harness connector.
Disconnect harness connector.
