Removal

  1. Open the luggage compartment.
  2. Release the seal from luggage compartment surround. Note: Components have been removed in this graphic to aid clarity.
  3. Remove the seal from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

    Removal Lower door glass. Remove door trim panel (refer to procedure) Remove trim stud securing flap seal to door. Carefully ease flap seal clear of inner belt seal for access.

    Removal Remove the body control module (BCM) (refer to procedure) Remove the 4 bolts and 1 nut that secure the sunroof controller mounting bracket to the body (torque 8 Nm). Carefully turn the mounting bracket over.

    Model S has one or more air filters to prevent pollen, industrial fallout, road dust and other particles from entering through the vents. NOTE: Cabin air filter(s) require periodic replacement.
