Tesla Model S: Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Release the lugs (x3) that secure the LH underhood apron to the inner fender. Caution: Take care not to damage component(s).
  3. Release and remove the LH underhood apron.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

     Motor - Seat Tilt - Driver's Seat (Remove and Replace)

    Removal Remove the driver's seat (refer to procedure). Place the seat on a clean work surface. Remove the screw that secures the inner side cover to the seat (torque 1 Nm).

     Motor - Seat Height - Driver's Seat (Remove and Replace)

    Removal Power the seat fully upward, away from the floor. Remove the driver's seat outer side cover (refer to procedure). Disconnect the seat height motor connector and harness.

    Removal Open tailgate to suitable working height. Carefully release speaker cover clips (x9) from tailgate. Caution: Take care not to damage component(s). Remove speaker covers and position aside.

     Reservoir - Master Cylinder (Remove and Replace)

    Removal Remove the master cylinder and reservoir assembly (refer to procedure). Release the reservoir to master cylinder fixing lugs (x4). Release the reservoir from the master cylinder connections (x2). Note: Place suitable
