Tesla Model S: Assembly - Cover - Footwell - RH (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Fully open the passenger door.
  2. Move the passenger seat rearward for access.
  3. Remove the screws (x2) that secure the footwell cover to the dash (torque 2 Nm).

  4. Carefully release the footwell cover from the dash and disconnect it from the rear lugs (x2). Caution: Take care not to damage component(s).
  5. Disconnect the footwell lamp harness connection.

  6. Remove the footwell cover.
Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

    Removal Remove the LH liftgate trim (refer to procedure). Remove the screw that secures the amplifier to the liftgate. Carefully disconnect the amplifier connector. Release the clip that secures the amplifier to the liftgate. Note: RH side shown.

     Fork and Control Link - Door - Exterior Handle - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace)

    Removal Remove Door Motor (refer to procedure) Remove Door Grip (refer to procedure) Remove press sensor screw. Release door press sensor wiring connector. Remove pivot pin connecting control link to PVT cartrid
