Tesla Model S: Headlight Assembly - LH (Remove and Replace)

Tesla Model S (2012-2025) Service Manual / Electrical / Headlight Assembly - LH (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Remove front fascia for access (refer to procedure)
  2. Disconnect headlight connectors (x2).

    Headlight Assembly - LH (Remove and Replace)

  3. Remove bolts (x4) securing headlight to carrier and fender (torque 4 Nm).

    Note: LH wheel arch liner has been removed in illustration to aid clarity.

  4. Remove headlight.
Installation
  1. Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
  2. Check headlight to fender profiles and gaps.
  3. Check and adjust headlight as necessary.

    Removal Recover refrigerant from the vehicle (refer to procedure) Remove front aero shield panel (refer to procedure) Remove front LH wheel arch liner (refer to procedure) Remove bolts (x2) securing front bumper panel support bar and remove (torque 11 Nm).

     Key Fob
