Tesla Model S: Headlight Assembly - LH (Remove and Replace)
Tesla Model S (2012-2025) Service Manual / Electrical / Headlight Assembly - LH (Remove and Replace)
Removal
- Remove front fascia for access (refer to procedure)
- Disconnect headlight connectors (x2).
- Remove bolts (x4) securing headlight to carrier and fender
(torque 4 Nm).
Note: LH wheel arch liner has been removed in illustration to aid clarity.
- Remove headlight.
- Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
- Check headlight to fender profiles and gaps.
- Check and adjust headlight as necessary.

Lamp - Brake - High Mounted (Remove and Replace)
Removal
Remove liftgate glazing (refer to procedure)
Position liftgate glazing on suitable glazing stand.
Note installed position of Central High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL).

Removal
Remove underhood storage unit for access (refer to procedure)
Position hoses aside for access.
Remove screw securing compressor ambient air temperature sensor
(torque 2.5 Nm).
Disconnect sensor harness lead.
Rotate harness connector and release from bracket.
2nd Row Center Console Assembly (Remove and Replace)
Removal
Fold the RH 2nd row back rest.
Loosen the 2nd row center console tether strap behind the center
seat.
Unclip the tether latch from the child seat anchor.
Pull the tether out between the seat and the back re
