Tesla Model S: Seal - Door Rear Outer Belt - LH (Remove and Replace)

Tesla Model S (2012-2023) Service Manual / Closures / Seal - Door Rear Outer Belt - LH (Remove and Replace)


  1. Lower window glass.
  2. Using a suitable tool release outer belt seal, release leading edge and work rearward.

    Caution: Protect paintwork from possible damage during this procedure.

    Caution: Take care not to damage component(s).

    Seal - Door Rear Outer Belt - LH (Remove and Replace)

  3. Release hooked end from door skin and remove seal.

  1. Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
  2. In the event of seal being damaged at rear end, it will be necessary to replace component.
  3. Check for smooth operation when opening and closing window glass.


     Seal - Sliding Glass - Panoramic Roof (Remove and Replace)

    Removal Remove the sliding roof glass (refer to procedure) . Release the rear ends of the main seal from beneath the stop bumper seal.

     Exterior fittings
