Tesla Model S: Seal - Steering Rack (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle (refer to procedure). Warning: Do not work on an incorrectly supported vehicle.
  2. Remove upper intermediate steering shaft (refer to procedure)
  3. Remove steering rack dash seal from shaft.

Installation
  1. Installation procedure reverse of removal, except for the following:
  2. Ensure the intermediate shaft to pinion marking align correctly.
  3. Check front toe alignment.
