Tesla Model S: Applique - Fascia - Front - 2nd Generation (Remove and Replace)

Tesla Model S (2012-2026) Service Manual / Body / Applique - Fascia - Front - 2nd Generation (Remove and Replace)

Note: This procedure describes how to remove and replace the 2nd generation front fascia applique. If the vehicle is equipped with a 1st generation front fascia applique, refer to procedure 10011402 (refer to procedure).

Removal

  1. Remove the front fascia applique (refer to procedure).
  2. Remove the parking sensors from the applique.
  3. Remove the bright trim from the applique.

Caution: Take care not to damage component(s).

Installation
  1. Transfer the parking sensors and bright trim to the new applique.
  2. Install a new Tesla "T" badge.
  3. Reinstall the applique.

    Removal Remove the passenger's seat assembly (refer to procedure). Place the seat on a clean work surface. Remove the screws (x2) that secure the inner side cover to the seat (torque 1 Nm). Carefully release the inner side cover from the retaining bracket. Remove the

    Position the support jack on top of the front crossmember and secure the 2 screws to the front crossmember. The support jack mounts to the bolt holes on top of the front crossmember that secured the coolant reservoir.
