Tesla Model S (2012-2025) Service Manual / Roof / Motor - Sunroof - RH (Remove and Replace)
Removal
- Remove glove box assembly (refer to procedure)
- Disconnect sunroof motor harness connector.

Remove screws (x3) securing sunroof motor to
'A' post (torque 5 Nm).
- Release sunroof motor assembly and disconnect module from drive tube.

Remove sunroof motor module.
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

Note: Loosen suspension
fasteners by hand, then use a cordless electric drill with a 3/8
in drive adapter and a 3/8 in drive air ratchet wrench.

Removal
Power the seat forward to gain access to the 'B' post.
Carefully release the leading edge of the rear rocker panel trim
for access.
Caution: Take care not to damage component(s).
Carefully release the trailing edge of the front rocker pan
Visual and Audio Feedback
When you shift to Reverse, the Park Assist view displays
on the left side of the instrument panel, showing objects
that are in close proximity to the front and rear of
Model S. This view closes when you shift into Drive
unless an object is detected close to the front of
Model S, in which case t
