Tesla Model S: Motor - Sunroof - RH (Remove and Replace)

Tesla Model S (2012-2026) Service Manual / Roof / Motor - Sunroof - RH (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Remove glove box assembly (refer to procedure)
  2. Disconnect sunroof motor harness connector.
  3. Remove screws (x3) securing sunroof motor to 'A' post (torque 5 Nm).

  4. Release sunroof motor assembly and disconnect module from drive tube.
  5. Remove sunroof motor module.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

    Removal Open liftgate and secure at working height. Remove liftgate trim (refer to procedure) Remove screws x3 securing cinch motor to liftgate. Release harness clip, rotate the cinch clockwise to access harness connector. Disconnect harness connector.

     Navigation

    Customize how the navigation system works: Navigation Volume: Increase or decrease the volume of spoken navigation instructions by touching - or +, respectively. Fully decreasing the volume mutes the instructions. You can also mute navigation instructions when a navigation route is active
